Woolton Farm in Bekesbourne near Canterbury, the home of award-winning cider producer Kentish Pip, re-opens on Good Friday 7th April for the 2023 summer season. Opening with a new sourdough pizza menu & pop-up dining events at The Barn, plus a host of events for families, cider & wine lovers.
Woolton Summer season launches Easter weekend, Friday 7th – Monday 10th April.
To celebrate the start of its Summer Season, Woolton will be opening its doors to the local community on Friday 7th April offering a free drink and first tasters of their new sourdough pizzas. A traditional Easter egg hunt for families will take place on Easter Sunday as part of the official celebrations.
Says Sam Mount, Woolton’s Managing Director: “We’re excited for the new season and have a dynamic line-up of dining experiences for foodies, family events, cider and wine tours, tasting flights and a range of accommodation.
“We’re putting local storytelling firmly at the heart of our new food line up with local produce as the star ingredients to complement our range of ciders and wines.”
The Barn
The hub of Woolton Farm, the Barn houses a bar, café and shop and events space in an original Kentish Tithe Barn dating back to the 14th Century. Set in its own fruit garden with outdoor seating and kitchen, the vineyard, cidery and a host of accommodation options are a short walk away.
Sourdough pizza with your cider?
The outdoor kitchen is set to see some sizzling action with brand new pizza ovens installed to cook up freshly hand stretched, sourdough pizzas in a minute. Customers can choose from a core range of 4-5 staples along with weekly specials and a selection of salads and sides . Like all good food, the quality ingredients speak for themselves. Vegan pizzas and gluten-free bases will also be available.
For dessert, customers can finish with a sumptuous, sweet treat from the locally produced ice creams and sorbets. For those staying overnight or visiting in the morning the breakfast menu will feature quality tea and coffee, freshly baked pastries, bacon rolls with locally sourced bacon and a fruit muesli breakfast bowl.
Pop-up dining events for foodies
A new programme of pop-up dining experiences will feature food and wine matched courses from pairing experts Ramekins & Wine plus one-off feasting evenings with guest chefs. Limited places available, subscribe to the Woolton mailing list to be the first to know.
Woolton Farm prides itself on serving a curated list of craft ciders, English wines, craft beers and ales and a locally sourced menu. All the drinks are produced and sourced nearby, including their very own Kentish Pip cider and international award-winning Woolton Wines.

6th May Kings Coronation Garden Party. A family-friendly day out at The Barn, featuring an outdoor screen showing a live screening of the Coronation – with pink fizz for toasting, celebration cream teas and picnic food available. Entry is just £2 per head, book your tickets here.

26th – 29th May Woolton’s Spring Beer & Cider Festival. Featuring a big cider and beer wall, there will be live music from local bands, food and craft stalls, face painting and games. Tickets will be released via the Woolton Farm website on Monday 27th March. Tickets are £5 pp for over 18s and include an exclusive branded pint glass, FREE for under 18s.

Tours & Tastings
New for 2023 – Woolton wine tours will commence regularly on Sundays, on selected dates, alongside their existing cider tours. Cider tours start at 12 noon and wine tours will begin at 2:30pm. The new wine tour will include a guided walk around the vineyard with a talk about grape varieties and growing conditions, followed by a tutored tasting of six Woolton Wines in the beautiful gardens of The Barn. Woolton’s popular tasting flights are making a welcome return. For wine buffs, build your own wine flight and for cider lovers there’s a five-cider flight served with local cheeses. Perfect for gifting.
Summer glamping at Woolton
For those looking to extend their stay, Woolton Farm offers plenty of accommodation options including three self-catered properties: The Oast and Old Tannery, which are located on the Village Green in Littlebourne, while Ellen’s Cottage sits in the centre of the farm with a huge garden overlooking a wild meadow.
For glampers, Woolton also offer eight bell tents, tucked away in a fruit garden behind the barn. The tents are well spaced along the back of the gardens, nestled in a row of cobnut trees with views into the fruit garden and onto the barn.
Just a stone’s throw from The Barn, dedicated campers can pitch up their tents in Ellen’s Meadow for a budget friendly outdoor escape.
Available Friday-Sunday (including bank holidays), the glamping and self-pitch accommodations are now open for bookings, but guests can only stay from Friday – Sunday (and Monday on bank holidays). Please see here for bookings.
